White Tile Bathroom (2024)
In 2023, members of the house raised concerns about the small size and water leakage issues in the white tile bathroom showers. After consulting with a local contractor, we devised a durable design solution that addressed these issues. We decided to consolidate three 30”x30” shower stalls into two larger 48”x48” stalls, removing the existing faucet and drain in the process. To ensure ease of maintenance and aesthetics, we opted for Armoni Light Grey 48”x48” polished porcelain tiles with minimal grout lines. For safety reasons, we chose Tory Black Porcelain mosaic tiles with a sandy texture for the shower floor to prevent slipping of a member. The shower remodel was completed on May 31, 2024, and we were pleased to find ourselves under budget. This allowed us to consider adding a new countertop that will complement the new showers, scheduled for installation in mid-August.

Capitol Project (2024)
The third-floor red-tile bathroom and 2nd-floor bathroom currently have humidity issues due to not having proper ventilation for steam to escape. Creating an environment where the wall meets the ceiling for mold and mildew to prosper. A coring company will be on-site to core 4” holes through the wall for this project. For an integration vents into both areas to prevent mold and mildew from growing. Coming in the end of July 2024.

Work Week 2024
Work Week This work week will take place from August 12th -16th. 24 members are ready to work and prepare for recruitment. This year we do not have any major projects, rather we are updating bits and pieces of the house. Projects: •Replacing old light fixtures. •Switching out switches for motion-activated switches. •Creating more seating in the volleyball area. •Replacing seats on the front porch. •Adding more sand to the volleyball pit. •Painting the concrete flooring. •Installing shelves for the kitchen. •Switching out light fixture panels.

Window Replacements (2024)
The house currently has three broken windows due to storms throughout the years. Windows have been ordered and will be on the way by the end of July or the beginning of August. This will also help with conserving energy and functionality of rooms

Major Future Project - Heating System
One of the major worries we currently have in the house that keeps coming up if the heating system in the house. Which is an old water boiler heating system. The current system is getting harder to work on and parts are getting harder to find. We are developing a game plan for alternative ways to update the heating/cooling system to the 2nd & 3rd floor hallway and rooms. This will be a major investment that may cost around $60,000 to $90,000. That will be a plan for the next year.
